Villa Mars is ideal for families and groups of friends, with spaces large enough for all occupants to share but also with quiet corners for relaxing apart from the group. Although Kalkan is just 10 minutes by foot from the villa, The villa is so well equipped with two private pools and a barbecue you might be tempted to spend the days and evenings there. If you do venture into Kalkan’s centre you sights, smells sounds streets are an assault on the senses and after a delicious meal you can burn off some calories on the steep return walk to the villa. Alternatively, just jump in a cab or your hire car and promise to swim a few extra laps of the pool in the morning! The entrance to Gocek is on the right approx. 3.5 km after exiting the Gocek tunnel. Recommended toilet breaks There are many petrol stations en route – we recommend the OPET stations at 44.7km and 85.7km. DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION - approximately 1hr 45m Your hire car will have a full tank of petrol when you collect it. In most cases your paperwork will be prefilled with passport and driving licence details to speed the process of car collection. We suggest that before you set off, you acquaint yourselves with the way your odometer works. In most cars to reset you need to press the button on the end of the indicator and hold until the reading flashes for some time and then becomes zero. If you have requested any booster or child seats, please ensure you check the fittings before you set off. Please take care driving along these roads and remember to drive on the right! The speed limits are signposted along the way. The distances are measured from the car park exit barrier. Step 1 Leave the car park and follow the road to the manned security exit. Step 2 Follow the dual carriageway ahead for 5km (5km) until you reach a set of traffic lights, take the second exit. This is the town of Dalaman. Step 3 Continue for 5.2km (11.1km) passing through 3 more sets of traffic lights. Atthe 4th set of lights turn right towards Fethiye, Kaş, Antalya and Burdur. Youare now on the D400. Step 4 After 9.6km (20.7km) you will reach the Gocek tunnel. Take the road straight ahead under the sign ‘Nakit Ucretli Gecis’. The toll is paid in cash. Step 5 Follow the D400 for a further 52.3km (73km), approx. 45 minutes, passing the edge of Gocek, Yaniklar, Kargi and Fethiye. As you approach the junction ahead you will see Finike and Kas signposted to the right. Take this right turn, continuing on the D400. Step 6 Continue on the D400 for a further 56.3km(129.3km) until you arrive at the set of traffic lights shortly after the blue Kalkan sign on the right. Be aware of road widening construction throughout this section of the journey. Step 7 Take the third exit at the lights towards Elmali, keeping in the inside lane. As you cross the road you will see the shop Arcelik/Idas – take the small road to the right of the shop, follow it to the right and in front of Hatice Sultan turn left uphill. At the T junction turn right and continue for 800m, passing the Samira Resort. The road divides, take the lower road passing 6 villas followed by the Mediteran Hotel, all on the right. Step 8 Immediately past the Mediteran there is a right turn down a steep hill – the blue sign post for Zakkum Sokak is clear. Take the turn in 1st gear, going carefully. At the bottom of the road look ahead, the continuation downhill takes you to Villa Mars.
