Summary: Overall, we had a decent stay, although it didn’t quite live up to our expectations based on the reviews and photographs online. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent – a beautiful spread, plenty of choice and really well presented. Definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. The staff were also polite and friendly throughout our stay. However, our first impression was disappointing. The entrance and reception were cluttered with suitcases, and parts of the hotel, particularly the corridors, felt tired and in need of a refresh. We were also told the gym opened at 8am and planned our mornings accordingly, only to discover towards the end of our stay that it could actually be accessed earlier. Better communication would have helped. We would also have appreciated more information about the local area, restaurants, beach clubs and things to do. Partnerships with local businesses could really enhance the guest experience. Finally, the large Jet2 sign at the entrance detracts from the overall feel and doesn’t create the sense of arriving somewhere special. Having stayed at other hotels along this coastline, this was perfectly fine rather than exceptional. Good breakfast, friendly staff, but overall it lacked the “wow” factor we had expected.
