Relatively new to HostelWorld (but with a 5* rating on TripAdvisor) Whisper Cave Guest House is a unique hostel in the centre of Cappadocia made up of 2 cave dormitorys (5-bed mixed & 3-bed female only) and an 8-bed bunk dormitory with ensuıte shower/toilet. In the morning you will be served a fresh, traditional Turkish breakfast with the usual hıgh level of Turkish hospitality. You will find a shared lounge area to enjoy with excellent free WiFi throughout the property. If you wake a little earlier in the morning you can take delight in both the views of Rose Valley and the famous Cappadocia hot air balloons from our fabulous roof terrace. (on some mornings there are as many as 100 multi-coloured balloons gently rising from the valleys & floating among the lunar landscapes). Our guesthouse is surrounded by old style houses which perfectly represent the traditional local architecture and is only one street away from the centre of Göreme.
Cappadocia is a geographically and historically unique region. The area covers 300 square kilometres of volcanic lava formations, dating back over 1 million years. There are many of the "must see" sights of Anatolia within easy reach of Göreme. Historically the population living in Cappadocia built and lived in cave dwellings carved into the rock formations, not only to make their life easier but also safer. There are many different rock formations ıncluding fairy-chimneys,underground cities, churches and monasteries in caves. Many civilisations settled in Cappadocia such as the Hittites, Phrygians and the Persians and Cappadocia was part of many empires such as the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk & Ottoman Empire before it fınally became part of the newly-formed Turkish Republic. You will certainly enjoy a very special experience staying at Whisper Cave Guest House where our staff will do all that they can to make your visit to Cappadocia as memorable as possible
We have 2 cave dorm rooms, (1 mixed and 1 female only), 2 old vaulted, stone-arched rooms and 3 stone rooms here at Whisper Cave Guest House. The original cave rooms date back some 500 years but have been fully renovated with your comfort in mind. We also offer free WiFi throughout the property with WiFi "boosters" in each individual room, ensuring a strong connection at all times.
